Sketch Studies

I may be a fine artist painter, but many of my paintings start out as marker drawings. Day trips around New England, and vacations elsewhere, bring me to so many beautiful places. Drawing with Tombow markers in plein air helps me to capture natures moments much quicker than with paint, so the lighting is captured accurately in time. Also, drawing with markers just brings me back to how I felt about art as a child, so I feel like I am approaching the drawing with a sense of wonder and ease. I use many of these drawings as reference when I begin painting something new. Send me an email if interested in a final drawing, they look lovely framed on the mantel!
